Is There No End In Sight???

I was walking down West Burnside on Friday and saw this. I couldn't believe the prices at this gas station! There were gas stations not too far from here that were considerably cheaper, but people were still buying gas here. Here's a cool website where you can find the cheapest gas in your area gasbuddy.com It includes the U.S. and Canada. I've been using it, but luckily I only have to fill up once every two weeks since my school is only 2.5 miles away. I'm thinking of taking public transportation this summer. The problem is that there is no direct bus or Streetcar to get there. I would have to transfer and that gets time consuming.
I know that gas is more expensive in the UK and Europe, but still, this is getting ridiculous. We Americans are used to paying a lot less. I hope this gets better soon.

Please note: This is not a Friday the 13th joke! Unfortunately, this is very real. Happy Pranking!!

We are hovering around 1.35/litre in Toronto right now. I think that converts to 5.07/gallon (if i calculated properly). These gas prices are just getting plain ridiculous. A week ago gas prices shot up 6 cents overnight!! Something isn't right!

Here we chose not to get a car, which for some reason most Milanese do not understand! We had a car in Chicago but I always rode my bike to school (close to 3 miles)and if possible rode the public trans...it helps that I just hate driving :) I really feel bad for those that do not have a choice!!`

Hi Lu- wow, so you guys actually have it more expensive than we do. That's terrible! I hope someone puts a stop to it soon.

Ceci- hey! you're back! I was wondering what happened to you. I'll have to go check out your blog. Ale (my boyfriend) tells me it's really expensive to have a car in Milano. The only reason I don't ride my bike to school is that I have a ton of books that I take with me and it would be impossible to carry them on my back or put them on the bike somehow, otherwise, I would love to be able to ride my bike to school. I love to drive though. I've driven cross country like 4 times!

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog and giving me that address- there are lots of reviews on there- some of which aren't great but also listings for other apartments nearby- which is really useful.
Thanks again.

Ciao Piccola, come va? I hear you on the gas... we need a different fuel source it seems... My hubby had a methane tank installed in his car, and it was easy enough to find methane stations around Italy. Very cheap too.
